Deformity
I have a special interest in spinal deformity and see patients from adolescence upwards - these include scoliosis, kyphosis and spondylolisthesis.
Spinal deformity was a special focus in my first fellowship in New York including Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis and Adult Spinal Deformity.
Degenerative
I see and treat patients with degenerative conditions of the spine including cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions. I work with local providers to enhance non-operative management opportunities. I provide surgical solutions including decompression, fusion and arthroplasty techniques tailored to the individual's problem.
Post-traumatic
I provide care at the Waikato DHB for many patients presenting with traumatic spinal injuries. Sometimes implants need to be removed to restore motion or a post-traumatic deformity can be disabling leading to additional treatment.
